About

More than 80 percent of JSU students receive some form of financial aid. Over $80 million was awarded last year in scholarships, loans, grants, or campus employment. Our Financial Aid staff is always ready to serve you and answer all of your questions.

You will make close friends and still meet someone new every day. At Jacksonville State University, we realize that your education and experiences are not strictly gained in a classroom. Campus involvement plays a tremendous role in developing not only your mind, but also you as a person. Share your voice by participating in the Student Government Association. Apply to join the Freshman Forum and develop leadership skills that will last a lifetime. Volunteer to lend a hand and support one of our many community service projects. With more than a hundred clubs and organizations, you will find endless opportunities on campus to meet new people and make new friends.

With all of these opportunities, and more that are available at the "friendliest campus in the south," you're bound to become the person you strive to be.

Located in the Appalachian foothills almost midway between Birmingham and Atlanta, JSU has grown from very humble beginnings as a state teachers college in 1883 into the Alabama regional university with the highest percentage of accredited programs.
