The MPhys Astrophysics is delivered collaboratively by acclaimed experts from Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Liverpool. The courses are taught by world-leading academics from both LJMU and the University of Liverpool. There will be level 5 field trip to a Tenerife observatory that gives students practical hands on experience on their academic learnings. Students will have the eligibility to join the Institute of Physics to obtain Chartered Physicist status on graduation and obtain generous University of Liverpool scholarships and University of Liverpool bursaries on application. The department is friendly with an ‘open door’ policy and active physics society.
The BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance at Liverpool John Moores University offers students the chance to secure professional accreditation from the four main accountancy bodies in England and Wales. Students will have the option of taking a year out to complete a paid 48-week placement in industry in the UK or overseas. Placements give Students invaluable experience of what it’s really like to work in the finance sector as well as giving them a chance to put skills and knowledge they have learnt in the first two years into practice. The experience helps students develop personal skills, enhances their CV and gives them a year’s break from academic study.
The BEng (Hons) Architectural Engineering at Liverpool John Moores University is informed by internationally-acclaimed research plus extensive links with employers, who also offer exciting paid placement opportunities. The courses are developed in partnership with practising architectural engineers. The degree covers both the domestic sector and commercial buildings, new and refurbished. It is an opportunity to undertake a year’s industrial work placement in the dedicated Industry Unit to identify both placement opportunities and potential employers, both in the UK and overseas.
