Human Services Counseling (M.A.)

The Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling is for those who do not plan to seek licensure or national certification, but who are interested in a master's degree that could provide them with possible career advancement. This degree is appropriate for individuals like pastors, human resource directors, teachers, coaches, nurses, law enforcement officers, managers and student affairs personnel in college or university settings, and others who may regularly apply psychological insights to their work activities or settings. This degree consists of 18 hours of core courses and 12 hours of electives typically from academic disciplines such as business, counseling, communication, education, religion and varied human services fields.
