Accounting information is essential for effective planning, control, and decision-making by management, and for reporting on the activities of an organization to interested external parties such as investors, creditors, government agencies, and taxing authorities. Accounting includes the development and analysis of data, the testing of its validity and relevance, and the interpretation and communication of the resulting information to users.
