In this 2-year psychotherapy training program, graduates fulfill the educational requirements for Licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in the State of California. The Master of Arts Program begins twice yearly: January and July. Ryokan College is an innovator in online learning and was one of the first colleges to offer degree programs comprised of live classes via the internet. Every class session is live, with each student participating using a camera and microphone, thereby making the experience feel very much like a real classroom environment. Classes are collaborative/interactive, which means that students and instructor converse to create an active and dynamic online classroom setting in real time. Classes are also synchronous, which requires students to attend class at a specific time according to their program schedule.
