LA&S Childhood Education: English Area of Study AS

This is a 61 credit hour program offered at MVCC to provide students with a core foundation of knowledge of the liberal arts, and provide them with core concepts in multicultural education. Students will able to identify educational issues within a multicultural, diverse society, describe educational strategies used with special education populations. Students will have an opportunity to explore education as a career path in English area of study. They will be able to analyze teaching strategies and how they apply to teaching theory and analyze adolescent behavior and apply developmental theories.
