A full-time accelerated business degree, which can be completed in 14 months, is available to recent undergraduates who want immediate career results. Students in this program earn an MBA directly after finishing their undergraduate degree, while still in the academic mindset, without first having to work in one or more jobs that may or may not be the right fit. Assumption also offers a traditional MBA program, designed to provide professional development for those who wish to study on a part-time basis. Both programs offer the flexibility to take most courses either on-campus or online.
Biology is the study of life. Biologists explore the mysteries of life at the cellular, organismal and population levels. Whether students want to use their Biology degree to study viruses or ecosystems, they gain extensive hands-on laboratory experience, as well as strong support from and easy access to Assumption science faculty, who make classroom-based concepts meaningful and help develop their technical research skills. The state-of-the-art Testa Science Center located on-campus in Worcester, MA provides outstanding laboratory facilities to students pursuing a Biology major to test the complex and sophisticated scientific theories they learn in the classroom.
Students can pursue either a major or minor in accounting. Assumption’s accounting program enables them to develop professional skills and knowledge that prepare them for careers in public accounting firms, corporate settings, or nonprofit institutions. One advantage of Assumption’s accounting curriculum is its breadth of business coursework and strong liberal arts foundation. Employers appreciate the critical thinking and communication skills that Assumption graduates bring to the workplace. Another advantage of the Assumption accounting program is the option of earning a master’s degree in one additional year after graduating with a Bachelor's degree. Students may apply for acceptance into Assumption’s BA/MBA program during their senior year.
