This pathway leads onto many Master’s degrees at Birmingham City University, including a range of Visual Communication courses (covering the creative disciplines of graphic communication, photography, illustration, and film and animation) which are accredited by Creative Skillset. Students will have the opportunity to explore art practice in whatever form it takes – drawing, painting, sculpture, print, photography, installation, lens-based media, performance, participatory or interdisciplinary practice.
Birmingham City University features dedicated schools for Architecture and Design, Art, Fashion and Textiles, Jewellery, Media and Visual Communication. Birmingham School of Art is located in the heart of the city’s thriving cultural quarter, alongside the Library of Birmingham, and Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. Students will have the freedom to pursue their particular interest – whether it be photography, installation, print, digital media, sculpture, illustration, textiles, graphic design or three-dimensional design.
The Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences boasts platinum ACCA teaching status, and Accounting courses offer nine exemptions from ACCA exam papers. This pathway also offers access to a new integrated Master’s degree at Birmingham City University. The courses are taught by expert staff with strong global industry links, and experience in working in multinational conglomerates and managing start-ups.
