The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program prepares students to work professionally in various public and private counseling agencies. In Nebraska, as well as most states, persons must be licensed by the state to engage in counseling or therapy. A teaching degree is not required for admittance into the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. Students will be expected to be on campus for some of the program.
The Mathematics department offers a subject major in Mathematics and Mathematics Education and minors in Mathematics, Applied Statistics and Mathematics Education (K-8). The A student must complete the core requirements and an option, in addition to general studies requirements, and a major or minor in another area. Mathematics Education students must complete Professional Education requirements in place of a major or minor in another area. The complete Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program is offered online, as well as the traditional classroom setting.
The Bachelor of Arts degree provides content area programs of study for entrance into a professional workforce (exclusive of education) or continued graduate-level study. The faculty members of the Business Academy at Chadron State College are committed to preparing students for challenging careers in this rapidly-changing, highly-technological and culturally-diverse world. The fundamental purpose of the Department is to enhance the student's capacity for learning by combining excellence in teaching with appropriate coursework, online and classroom environments that emphasize critical thinking, human relation/communication skills, theoretical, technical and professional skills, and a lifelong learning environment designed for creative problem solving/decision making.
