Founded as the first teacher education institution in the Dakota Territory, Dakota State University has evolved into a premier technology institution. DSU has one of the first programs in the nation recognized by the National Security Agency as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Operations. Current students and graduates complete research work at the nation’s top physics labs and governmental agencies. Education grads go on to teach elementary and high school students with the latest technology in education. A wide-variety of graduates go onto the healthcare and wellness industry, including those in respiratory care, health information management, and exercise science and biology programs. DSU also offers collegiate NAIA athletics, intramural sports and an eSports team for students at all levels.
