University Transfer Programme: Engineering

The University of Canterbury is ranked among the world's best universities for Engineering and Technology. QS World university rankings for 2014 show that the University of Canterbury has maintained its ranking among the top three percent of the world's universities. UC Civil and Natural Resources Engineering Department is ranked 19th in the world. Mechanical Engineering and Chemical and Process Engineering departments have both been ranked top in New Zealand for their research.

We boast New Zealand's oldest Bachelor of Commerce degree. At the time of its introduction in 1906 the UC Bachelor of Commerce degree was one of the first business degrees in the British Commonwealth. UC and its enterprise companions supply many possibilities for you to reap sensible business trip and make necessary contacts. Internships, enterprise case competitions, career gala's and scholar groups all allow you to put school room theories to the test in the real world and network with enterprise professionals.

Foundation Studies Certificate

UCIC Foundation Studies Certificate will pathway students to the first year of their University of Canterbury undergraduate degree.* Students will study 8 courses over the course of 2 semesters. Courses are carefully selected and will depend on a students intended programme of study at UC.
