Master of Accountancy (MACC)

Students may enter the program in the fall, spring or summer. The MAcc program has six required accounting courses and the student chooses four electives. The MAcc can be completed in 12 months. MAcc program completion, in addition to an undergraduate accounting degree, satisfies Georgia’s educational requirements for CPA licensure. MAcc students are eligible for membership in Beta Alpha Psi – a national accounting and finance honorary society founded in 1919. Beta Alpha Psi sponsors a fall Meet the Firms event. Students meet representatives from many of the public accounting firms that recruit VSU graduates.

BBA (Accounting)

Accounting majors work with the newest information systems technology, receive a broad educational foundation, and an intensive education in the business and accounting disciplines. Students develop communication, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and master the knowledge and skills employers demand.

BBA (Economics)

Students who pursue a B.B.A degree in Economics develop the analytical and problem solving skills needed to make these decisions. Our students successfully completing the economics coursework should be able to analytically and critically solve complex problems; be adept in managing and drawing inferences from large datasets; and understand and clearly communicate complex ideas.
